ChairsCane-line is thoroughly practical - also for families with young children. Both furniture and cushions are very dirt repelling, and the synthetic fibres can be cleaned with a damp cloth or brush. The synthetic fibres also stand moisture from wet rooms.
FabricsThe fabrics Y22, 24, 26 and 28 can be washed at max 30°.
Y5, Y6 and Y7 Softskin is practical, e.g. for children, greasy fingers and small mishaps!. It looks like fat ox hide, breathes well and is easy to clean and durable. Is wiped clean with a damp cloth - and scratches are repaired with light heat, e.g. from a hand!
General cleaning of furniture textilesVacuum-clean often, preferably every week. Stains not containing fat are removed by gently rubbing with a clean non-fluffy cloth wrung in soapsuds or water with detergent (see recipe below). The surface is rubbed over with a clean soft cloth firmly wrung in lukewarm water.
Spot cleaningStain removers should only be used after having tested on a less visible place whether it affects the cover. Blotches can be avoided by gentle circular rubbing inwards towards the stain. Never use stain removers if there is latex rubber (foam rubber) directly underneath the cover. Foam detergents can be used according to the instructions. Detachable covers can be dry cleaned, which also often gives the best result. If you are in doubt, please ask your furniture dealer.
Warning Never use solvents, as they can disintegrate the underlying padding materials.
Recipe with liquid detergentPlease follow the furniture dealer's directions, however max. 1 teaspoonful detergent per 1 litre of water.
Computer display colour reproductionSince computer displays do not reproduce the colours quite accurately, the depicted swatches are to be regarded as a guide.
As the tint of the fabric is very important, we recommend that you contact your nearest distributor. Here you will find all current swatches for your free disposal in order to find the colour to your liking.
TablesUntreated oak Before taking to use Untreated oak is on initial use relatively sensitive to dirt and stains. It is therefore recommendable to saturate the surface with a soap flake solution (see recipe below). Then wipe entire surfaces with a slightly wrung cloth and finish by wiping a firmly wrung cloth. While the furniture is drying, the fibres of the wood will rise. They can be removed without problems with very fine sandpaper (no. 180 or 220). REMEMBER always to sand in the tree's vain direction! Never use steel wool; it can cause discoloration. Frequent sanding will make the surface more delicate and sensitive to dirt. Frequent wiping with soapsuds will reduce the fibre rising and increase the resistance of the surface.
Daily maintenance and cleaning Wipe the table with a clean wrung cloth. For grease spots and dirt use a cloth wrung in soapsuds (see recipe below).
Thorough cleaning Wash the entire surface with a brush and wipe off immediately with a clean cloth wrung in soapsuds (see recipe below). You can try to remove difficult grease spots with benzine. Please note, however, that the warranty may no longer apply using this method, so please ask your furniture dealer before using this agent.
Please note: never use yellow soap on oak and other kinds of wood with a high content of tannin, as the soap could result in strong colour staining.
Oiled oak
Daily maintenance and cleaning Wipe off with a clean dry cloth. If the surface is stained, wipe off the entire surface with a cloth firmly wrung in soapsuds or water added liquid detergent (see recipe below). Wipe again with a clean dry cloth.
Thorough cleaning Thin layers of oil are removed with white spirit. Important: See to proper airing! After drying, a thin layer of oil recommended by your furniture dealer is applied. Always follow the furniture dealer's instructions. If necessary, slightly sand the wet oil - always lengthwise of the wood with sandpaper no. 320 or 360. Thorough wipe off with clean dry cloths. Warning! Cloths with furniture oil could ignite spontaneously and should therefore be discarded after being wetted and wrapped up in tinfoil.
Recipe for soapsudsThe solution is made of 1/4 dl soap flakes for 1 litre of hot water, which is cooled down before use.
Recipe with liquid detergent Follow the instructions from the furniture dealer, however max. 1 teaspoonful detergent per 1 litre water.
